This is more of a classic spent Trico pattern than my trash-wing. An EP fiber wing fives this fly a translucent siloughete with just a touch of sparkle, and a longer effective life than a CDC wing. No more water-logged CDC Tricos after your first fish. Long split tail fibers help keep the fly from breaking through the surface film when it lands, and a touch of floatant keeps this fly hunting through the spinner fall.
I fish these on 24+ inches of 6x and have had good success with this pattern. Tied on a Firehole 419 competition dry fly hook.
